(PatriotPostNews.com) – Democrats are finally acknowledging the crisis at the southern border. The narrative among progressives has long been that the border crisis is not real. Liberals have asserted that the crisis is a lie pushed by racist Republicans. Roughly 60% of Democrats agree with conservatives that unlawful immigration is a major problem facing the country. Still, only about half of Democrats will admit that the crisis is happening.
Moderate Democratic lawmakers have recently come out in support of right-wing immigration policy, including Trump’s landmark “Remain in Mexico” policy. Almost one-third of Democrats surveyed said that they would support ending birthright citizenship. About one-third of Republicans support illegal border crossings if the entrants seek asylum legally once inside the United States.
However, there are still Democratic leaders pushing for the normalization of criminal migrants. The mayor of Kansas City, Missouri, has invited immigrants to take jobs in his city.
South Americans have historically been the most anticipated illegal aliens to cross the southern border. However, in recent times, Customs and Border Patrol has reported nearly 4,000 Chinese individuals crossing the border. During Donald Trump’s presidency, Chinese illegal entrants numbered in the tens to twenties. Scott reported that on a single day, they can see as many as 200 Chinese nationals at the border. Former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott reported upwards of 200 Chinese nationals illegally crossing the border in a single day.
Scott explained that the increase is simply because it has gotten too easy, especially at the overcrowded port of entry in San Diego. According to Scott, many illegal entrants are able to disappear into the bustling city before they can be apprehended.
Democrats are beginning to realize that illegal immigration is illegal. Historically Democrats have used euphemistic language for illegal aliens such as “undocumented immigrant”. Progressives will often remove the qualifier altogether simply referring to illegal aliens as “immigrants” or “nationals” regardless of the context.
