(PatriotPostNews.com) – An attorney who represented two deceased whistleblowers for Boeing has said that he has 10 more witnesses willing to testify against the company.
Brian Knowles was the lawyer for both Joshua Dean, who used to work at Spirit AeroSystems, a Boeing supplier, and John Barnett, a former quality manager at the company who sued it for safety violations. Dean died this month following a sudden, unspecified illness, which followed less than two months after Barnett was found shot dead.
Although neither case has been deemed to be a homicide due to lack of evidence indicating foul play, rumors have still circulated that whistleblowers are being taken out amid the major legal battle and accusations waged against Boeing. Days after he was found dead—just prior to his final deposition in the lawsuit against the plane manufacturer—Barnett’s friend told the media that he previously said that, should anything happen to him during the legal process, “it’s not suicide.”
But even with various suspicions surrounding the passing of Dean and Barnett, other whistleblowers remain determined to testify against Boeing. Knowles explained that he has “more than 10 others” he and his team are representing—and counting—who are willing to “come forward.”
According to the attorney, the whistleblowers include employees who are currently working at Spirit AeroSystems and Boeing, as well as those who were previously employed by the companies. Knowles pointed out that all the witnesses have brought up “serious quality and safety issues” that were “reported internally,” which they are now sharing with “regulators.”
He described the willingness of the whistleblowers to testify as “brave.” Without commenting on whether he believed his former clients, Dean and Barnett, were murdered, Knowles called their deaths “tragic” and commended their “tremendous courage” in having been “trying to do the right thing” at the time of their passing.
