(PatriotPostNews.com) – Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene suggested that any congressperson who votes in favor of additional funding for the Ukrainian war be made to enlist in the Ukrainian Military.
Greene introduced a series of amendments to controversial foreign aid bills. She has steadfastly held to the position that no additional support should be granted to Ukraine. The House is working on three separate bills, reportedly one for Israel, one for Ukraine, and one for Taiwan, as Taiwanese tensions with China continue to rise.
House Speaker Mike Johnson is under fire from GOP members for pushing for a vote on providing aid to Ukraine, including one package that would divert roughly $61 billion to Ukraine. Greene has argued for the removal of Johnson as speaker. During a talk with Steve Bannon, Greene stated that she found the debate over sending additional funding to Ukraine “disgusting” and insisted that $60 billion would be better suited to the United States’ southern border.
In addition to the amendment requiring Congressional supporters of Ukraine to enlist in Ukraine’s military, Greene also introduced an amendment requiring proof that the Ukrainian government is not ‘interfering’ with Christian churches inside the country. Playing off her infamous “space laser” comments, Greene also added an amendment to allow for space laser technology to be used at the southern border. Greene is likely referring to an existing Israeli laser defense program dubbed the “Iron Beam” expected to be implemented in Israel in 2025.
Greene elaborated that she supports the right of Israel to use high-energy laser technology to defend itself from incoming attacks. She added that the United States should use similar technology at the southern border to dissuade invaders. Though Greene is critical of indulgent government spending, the congresswoman has previously voted to approve funding for Israel to complete its Iron Beam program. Israel’s Iron Beam would only cost $2.00 per firing. Israel’s current defense system, the Iron Dome, costs roughly $50,000 per missile launched.
