(PatriotPostNews.com) — Fox News Host Lawrence Jones strongly advised against criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris on anything besides her political record.
During the roundtable discussion, Jones said that focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion, or DEI, talking points would “tick off voters.” Jones and the other panelists asserted that Harris’s political record is more than enough to bring down her campaign. The panel suggested that digging into theories about how Harris gained her position in government could turn voters off who are tired of identity politics.
The roundtable hosts reviewed some of the worst failures of Harris’s political career as well as times she acted against her own party’s interests. Harris has failed to tackle the border crisis, openly supported anti-Israel agitators, supported the defunding of the police movement, has suggested using public funds to pay off student loans, and allegedly incarcerated black men on simple marijuana charges.
As Attorney General for San Francisco, Harris saw the conviction rate jump from 52% to 67%. She also supported California’s Prop 47 in 2014, which led to the huge wave of retail thefts seen across the state. In 2018, Harris famously compared United States’ law enforcement agencies to the Ku Klux Klan. In 2019, she demanded health coverage for illegal aliens.
Jones doubled down and warned that Republicans will not win if they make the presidential contest an “identity politics race. “Jones did admit that President Joe Biden set Vice President Harris up for such attacks when, as a nominee, Biden suggested he was choosing his running mate based on their gender and ethnicity. Biden famously said he was going to “pick a woman to be vice president” and alluded to specifically choosing a black woman.
Democrats have fired back and asserted that referring to Harris as a “DEI Candidate” is equivalent to calling her “the n-word.” Jones maintained that going down the race and gender road will only lead to failure for Republicans.
