Chinese Defense Minister Promises To Use “Indestructible” Army Against Attempts To Liberate Taiwan

(PatriotPostNews.com) – On May 23 and 24, Beijing launched a massive invasion drill against Taiwan, including 62 warplanes and 72 warships. The mock invasion blockaded the entire island nation. Beijing conducted the drill in retaliation for Taiwanese “separatist” rhetoric. Beijing identifies Taiwan as a self-governing part of Chinese territory.

Hong Kong held a similar status until the democratically run city was annexed by the CCP in 2020. The Hong Kong-Mainland China conflict saw democratically elected officials physically ripped from their city council chairs and dragged across the Council Chamber floor. The removal left only CCP-controlled officials to cast votes, ensuring a “unanimous” election.

As pro-Hong Kong officials were removed, rebels armed themselves with bows and arrows in a desperate attempt to defend the democratic city. During the CCP’s siege of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, students lobbed improvised explosives at CCP armored vehicles. Ultimately, the Hong Kong rebels were defeated, and the CCP imposed a national security law on the city.

Taiwan benefits from advantages that Hong Kong does not. The United States has not ruled out using its military power to defend the disputed island nation. The US is working on shipping military aid, including low-cost cruise missiles as well as spare parts needed to repair and maintain Taiwan’s F-16 fighter jets. However, the US still officially recognizes Taiwan as part of China and not as an independent nation.

Taiwan is the world’s leading manufacturer of complex electronic components utilized by global corporations, including Intel, Nvidia, and Apple. Taiwan has also become a major force in the development of advanced artificial intelligence. Taiwanese President William Lai, has declared that Taiwan will be transformed into an “AI island” to potentially defend itself against Chinese cyber attacks.

The mock invasion against Taiwan is just one of many serious threats the CCP has issued against Taiwan. China has dubbed its army “indestructible” and vowed that any nation that defends Taiwan will be “crushed to pieces.”
